Request beta access · Step 1 of 2
Before you request access
Korven is a training evaluation tool that is still being tested. By continuing, you understand and accept that:
- It's unfinished. Things may change or break, and results may contain errors.
- It's free and "as is". No guarantees, to the extent the law allows.
- Real data is at your own risk. Use fictional or de-identified data where you can, and only with your organisation's permission.
- Protect people's identities. Use Protect participant identities. No names, contact or health details in program fields.
- Your data is processed overseas. Hosted in Singapore; AI analysis by Anthropic in the United States.
- Reports are evidence, not advice. Not professional, HR or employment advice, and never the sole basis for a decision about a person.
- Usage is limited. Each code has a set number of runs, and the beta can end at any time.
- Your feedback helps. We may use it to improve Korven.
Beta Terms of Usev0.1 · tap to read
1. Who we are
Korven is an Australian sole-trader business based in Queensland, Australia, ABN 11 787 882 139 ("Korven", "we", "us"). Contact: support@korven.com.au.
2. Agreeing to these terms
2.1 These terms apply to your use of the Korven beta (the "Beta"). You accept them by ticking the acceptance box and using the Beta.
2.2 If you use the Beta on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it. "You" then includes that organisation.
2.3 You must be at least 18 and using the Beta for business or professional purposes.
3. What the Beta is
3.1 Korven is a pre-release, web-based tool that helps learning and development practitioners evaluate training programs using surveys, evidence they supply, and AI-assisted analysis.
3.2 The Beta is for testing and feedback. It may contain errors, change without notice, be unavailable, or lose data.
3.3 The Beta is free. Prices shown in the product are placeholders only and are not an offer.
4. Beta access codes and limits
4.1 Access is by personal beta code. Your code is for you only. Keep it confidential and don't share it.
4.2 Each code includes a limited number of analysis runs. We may change limits, or suspend or cancel a code, at any time, including if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
4.3 Tell us straight away at support@korven.com.au if you think your code has been lost or misused.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Beta for anything unlawful, or in breach of anyone's privacy or other rights;
- upload data you don't have the right or permission to use;
- upload health information, other sensitive information, or the personal information of children;
- try to access other users' evaluations, test or bypass security, or disrupt the service;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the Beta, or use it to build a competing product;
- send survey links to anyone outside the intended group.
6. Your data and your responsibilities
6.1 Real data is at your own risk. We recommend fictional or de-identified data during the Beta. If you choose to use real workplace data, you do so at your own risk.
6.2 If you use real data, you are responsible for:
- having your organisation's approval and any lawful basis needed to survey its people and use its data in Korven;
- de-identifying evidence before upload, using the Protect participant identities feature or otherwise;
- keeping the participant key safe (Korven never receives it); and
- how you use the reports, and any decisions you make about individuals.
6.3 You keep ownership of the data you provide. You give us a limited permission to process it only to run the Beta for you, as described in the Privacy Notice.
6.4 We delete data on the schedule set out in the Privacy Notice. Don't rely on the Beta as your only copy of anything.
7. AI-generated content
7.1 Korven uses an AI model (provided by Anthropic) to generate survey questions and analysis. AI output can be incomplete or wrong.
7.2 Reports are evidence summaries, not conclusions or advice. They are not professional, legal, HR, workplace health and safety, or employment advice.
7.3 You must review reports using your own professional judgement. Don't use a report as the sole basis for any decision about an individual.
7.4 Korven reports costs as supplied. It does not calculate the financial value or return on investment of training.
8. Feedback
If you give us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Korven, without payment or obligation to you. We won't publish your name or organisation without your permission.
9. Intellectual property
Korven, its software, methodology, report formats and branding belong to us. These terms don't transfer any of those rights to you. You may use the reports you generate for your own organisation's internal purposes.
10. No warranty
10.1 To the extent permitted by law, the Beta is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty, guarantee or representation, express or implied, including about accuracy, reliability, availability or fitness for purpose.
10.2 Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Where liability for a guarantee can be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the service.
11. Limitation of liability
11.1 To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit, revenue, opportunity or goodwill, however caused, including through negligence.
11.2 To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Beta is limited to A$100.
11.3 We are not liable for loss caused by your breach of these terms, your choice to use real data, or decisions you make using a report.
12. Indemnity
You indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these terms, the data you upload, or your use of the reports, except to the extent caused by our own breach or negligence.
13. Ending the Beta
13.1 You can stop using the Beta at any time and ask us to delete your data by emailing support@korven.com.au.
13.2 We may end the Beta, or your access, at any time. When the Beta ends, remaining data is deleted on the schedule in the Privacy Notice.
13.3 Clauses 6, 7, 9 to 12 and 14 continue after the Beta ends.
14. General
14.1 These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Each party submits to the courts of Queensland.
14.2 We may update these terms. We'll tell you by email or in the product, and continued use means you accept the update.
14.3 If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
14.4 These terms and the Privacy Notice are the whole agreement about the Beta.
Privacy Noticev0.1 · tap to read
Korven is an Australian sole-trader business based in Queensland, Australia, ABN 11 787 882 139. Korven may be exempt from the Privacy Act 1988 as a small business, but chooses to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Questions: support@korven.com.au.
1. What we collect
| Information | From | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, work email, organisation and role | You, when you request beta access | To assess your request, send your code, and contact you about the Beta |
| Your beta code (stored scrambled, never readable) and usage counts | Korven | To control access and enforce run limits |
| A record of the documents you accepted (versions, date and time) | You, when you tick the boxes | To show what you agreed to |
| Feedback you send | You | To improve Korven |
| Program details (name, objectives, audience, cohort sizes) | You | To generate surveys and reports |
| Survey responses (each answer capped at 500 characters, no names or emails collected) | Your survey respondents | To produce the evaluation |
| Evidence files and notes you attach | You | Read in memory, used once in the analysis, and never stored |
| Anonymised analysis (themes, scores, paraphrased findings) | Generated by Korven | So you can download your report |
| Audit records (counts and timestamps only, no content) | Korven | To prove deletion happened |
| Technical data (such as IP address) | Your browser | Security and spam limits |
We do not ask for, and you must not upload, health information, other sensitive information, or information about children.
2. How participant identities are protected
Korven's Protect participant identities feature replaces names with codes (P1, P2 …) inside your browser before files are sent. Korven never receives the names or the key. Coded data is pseudonymised, not anonymous: whoever holds the key can re-identify people, so keep it safe.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell personal information. We use these service providers to run the Beta:
| Provider | What they do | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Railway | Hosts Korven and its database | Singapore |
| Anthropic | AI analysis and survey generation | United States |
| Resend | Sends Korven emails (feedback and access requests) | United States |
| Google Workspace | Korven's email (support@, beta@) | Global [confirm] |
4. Overseas disclosure (APP 8)
Your information is stored in Singapore and sent to the United States for AI analysis. Overseas laws may not protect it in the same way as Australian law. By using the Beta, you consent to this overseas disclosure. Anthropic processes data under its commercial API terms [confirm current wording on training use and retention].
5. How long we keep it
| Data | Deleted |
|---|---|
| Raw survey responses | Immediately after a successful analysis |
| Wave 1 responses never analysed | No later than 180 days after the evaluation begins |
| Wave 2 responses never analysed | No later than 30 days after Wave 2 closes (Wave 2 closes automatically 60 days after launch) |
| Anonymised analysis | 30 days after the analysis |
| Evidence files | Never stored |
| Your access request, acceptance records, code and feedback | When the Beta ends, or [X] months after, whichever is later |
| Audit records | Kept, as proof of deletion (they contain no content) |
An automatic check runs every 6 hours to delete data that's due.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our hosting provider. Response content is never written to logs, and no person reads individual responses. Access to the database is limited to Korven's operator. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and, where required, the OAIC.
7. Survey respondents
Every survey page shows respondents a collection notice explaining that responses are anonymous, analysed automatically, and deleted on the schedule above. Taking part is voluntary.
8. Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information by emailing support@korven.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days. Survey responses can't be matched to a person, so we can't retrieve an individual respondent's answers.
9. Complaints
Email support@korven.com.au first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
10. Changes
We'll update this notice when Korven changes, including when hosting moves to Australia after the Beta, and tell you by email or in the product.
